Sweet Summertime

SUMMER!

      All that needs to be said and what is on the minds of many!  If you're from the south like Brittany and I you might not be in the "summer spirit"  so much with this never-ending rain and Noah's ark flooding, but, FEAR NOT! It will end and what you should and will be thinking about is sweet summertime.  The warm sand between your toes, those cold adult beverages a.k.a. excuses to get plastered, the unmistakable summer glow (or lobster glow), and that familiar sense of carelessness that you got as a kid except this time…there’s booze.  Now we don't know about you but our summers have held some of the best memories whether it be a song or a summer love...a drunken night or just being with friends and family.  I know that growing up, we tend to forget that we only live once. Might be jobs, kids, family, school and all those other responsibilities that I definitely DO NOT remember signing on for and I know we’re not alone!  However THIS SUMMER all of our fellow kids at heart I encourage you to do something that you've always wanted to do, visit your favorite waterin' hole, pick a place and take a road trip*, or just a movie night stayin' in with a glass of wine, your best friend, and some fiddy shades.  It’s summertime, and I say, dust off that bucket list or start a new one.

*-A gal must always have a playlist on any summer road trip, if said road trip is not equipped with the proper essentials, jams must be discussed and song list compiled before road trip begins.  In addition to that dope playlist you and your BFF just made, snacks must be provided especially uncrustables.  Why uncrustables you might ask?  Two words… LESS MESS and besides whoever’s drivin’s gotta get their grub on too amirite?

Just Keep Swimming

As my wonderful Nighthawk bff Meagan has said in our first blog post, we are just starting out in the blog interwebs. Now, I am not a writer by any means so there will be errors and I will jump from topic to topic and go back to one and completely confuse the crap out of you, unlike my well edumacated bff Meagan. This blog will not be about just one thing and we’re really not worried if it gets many followers, this is just something us bff’s want to do together, i.e. a reason to go to Starbucks and try everything on the “secret menu” and why yes the twix frap really tastes like a twix  fyi . This will be mostly about our conversations; you ever see that one picture on the interwebs where it says if anyone hears us we will be locked up in a mental hospital forever? Yeah that’s us! Though our humor may not be for everyone, we just have a unique way of thinking and the way we view the world I’d say and as you can tell by the Nighthawk comment in the first part of the post, but we will explain that later!

"LEMME TELL YA 'BOUT MY FIRST BLOG"

Well howdy there! As a new blogger a.k.a. a gal wanting to know more about the blogging world I am hoping to start a blog with my best friend Brittany regarding all things for all the 20-something gals out there and anything just plain funny! (Ideas to come). This initial post is just to talk a little bit about myself, a kind of get to know you.  

Name's Meagan, I am 25 and a soon to be nursing student at Lone star College.  I'm from Spring Texas born and raised and have always had a secret fondness for writing even when I disliked it in school it was something I could knock out in a night.  When my ideas flow I have a great enjoyment for writing what I feel.  Brittany and I have always had such a great back and forth and being friends for almost a decade we have funnies and ideas we would like to share and wish we can record some of our conversations! whether we gain many followers or not isn't a concern of ours we just would like to share our goofiness and way of thinking with the world! What's a better way to begin than to start writing and work our way up to our own blog! (and hopefully people that will read our witty antics.) haha!
